23rd Bangor Chess Congress
Bangor Chess Club held their annual Congress tournament on Saturday 25th September. Michael Waters won the competition outright to claim the Eddie Web Cup. Chris Millar won the Junior Trophy.
This year's tournament had a disappointing turnout largely due to rushed organisation, lack of publicity and the popularity of late September holidays. Nonetheless, an enjoyable day with competitive chess on all boards.
